Description

The trail starts above the Tea Tavern at the edge of the Tea Plantation in Sans Soucis, where plants gradually give way to a cinnamon forest. Continuing the hike, you enter the island’s mist forests featuring botanical specimens like two local Vacoa tree types: parasol and marron (wild).

Depending on the season, you will encounter exotic fruit trees such as jackfruit and jamalac (rose apple). The trail progresses over moss-covered rocks and trees with a fern-covered forest floor, home to endemic birds including the Seychelles Bulbul and Sunbirds. The hike ends at a viewing platform overlooking the southern and western sides of Mahé.
