Description
Your adventure begins in the morning as you board JJ’s Charters from Praslin and cruise across the turquoise waters towards beautiful Curieuse Island. Enjoy the scenic boat ride, take in the stunning coastline and surrounding islands, and get ready for a day of island exploration, delicious food and ocean adventures.
Once you arrive at Curieuse, step ashore at Anse José and discover the island’s natural beauty. From here, begin an approximately one-hour walk through Curieuse’s unique mangrove ecosystem. Follow the natural trail through the mangroves while taking in the island’s lush scenery and learning about its unique environment.
The walk takes you across the island to the other side, where you will discover the Curieuse giant tortoise sanctuary. Get close to the magnificent Aldabra giant tortoises as they roam freely in their natural surroundings, and take the opportunity to capture unforgettable photos with these incredible animals.
After exploring the sanctuary, relax and enjoy a delicious Creole BBQ lunch in a beautiful island setting. Taste local flavours, enjoy freshly prepared food and soak up the tropical atmosphere before continuing your adventure.
After exploring Curieuse, enjoy snorkeling at Anse Petite Cour. A stop at St Pierre may also be included if sea conditions allow. On the way back to Praslin, we may make a final snorkeling stop at the beautiful Anse Lazio, depending on the weather and sea conditions.
After snorkeling, sit back, relax and enjoy the boat ride back to Praslin, taking in the spectacular ocean views and beautiful scenery along the way.
