Begin your adventure with a scenic boat ride from Praslin to Curieuse Island, where your island experience begins.
Upon arrival, visit the beautiful Anse José beach, known for its clear turquoise waters, white sand, and stunning natural surroundings. From Anse José, begin an approximately one-hour walk through Curieuse’s unique mangrove ecosystem. Follow the natural trail while learning about the island’s wildlife, plants, and protected environment.
The walk leads to the Curieuse giant tortoise sanctuary, where you can get close to the magnificent Aldabra giant tortoises. Watch these gentle giants as they roam freely around the sanctuary and learn more about their conservation and the important role Curieuse plays in protecting them.
After exploring Curieuse, continue your adventure by boat towards St Pierre Island for your first snorkeling stop. Depending entirely on sea conditions, you may have the opportunity to dive into the clear turquoise waters and discover the colorful underwater world surrounding this iconic granite island. Keep an eye out for tropical fish and other marine life as you explore the reef.
Next, head towards Anse Petit Cour, another beautiful location known for its crystal-clear waters and spectacular scenery. Depending on sea and weather conditions, you may have the opportunity to swim and snorkel in the surrounding waters before heading back to Praslin.
