Description

Nestled on a faraway granite formation at Mahe's southwestern side, Rock Pool, aka Ros Sodyer, is a natural tide pool marvellously carved out of the rock, situated only meters away from the ocean. This magical rock formation has a large cavity at the edge of the granite slope which links the craggy coastline of Takamaka to the Intendance Beach. The journey to reach the Rock Pool / Ros Sodyer Seychelles starts at the southern tip of Anse Takamaka Beach. The hike is generally straightforward and manageable for those with a moderate level of fitness. While most of the terrain is gently undulating, there are a few segments where you’ll encounter short climbs using steel ladders to access the next portion. These climbs are not particularly challenging, but they might pose a minor obstacle for some individuals. The nature trail offers a splendid experience as you meander through lush jungle landscapes. As you approach the trail’s conclusion, you’ll ascend onto rocky terrain with captivating views of the Ocean.
