Family-Friendly Experiences in Seychelles

Seychelles isn’t just a honeymoon spot; it’s surprisingly great for families, too. Kids here can run free on soft white sands like Beau Vallon Beach, where the water stays shallow and calm enough for toddlers to splash around without a worry.

Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the Seychelles National Botanical Gardens in Victoria. It’s a neat way to introduce little ones to giant tortoises ambling about and colorful birds you don’t see back home. I still remember my kids’ faces when they spotted those tortoises just inches away.

For a bit of adventure, head over to Praslin’s Vallée de Mai. It feels like stepping into a fairy tale with its towering coco de mer palms and curious wildlife. Walks here are gentle and manageable with children who enjoy a slower pace. Just make sure to bring water and hats – sun protection is key.

And if you want a relaxed family afternoon, Mahe’s Takamaka Bay is perfect, with calm beaches and some local eateries that welcome kids warmly. Just a heads up, some places close early, so an early start helps you catch the best spots before they fill up or shut down for the evening. Trust me, the fresh fruit juices there are gold.

Seychelles is a laid-back place where kids can explore without too much hassle, and the locals love children – it really feels like a second home when you’re here with family.
